COMPASSION

COMPASSION ,PITY,MORAL SENSE !
well these are the words to which i thought i knew the meanings pretty well .... hmmm.. i thought i was humane enough to be a human ! but wait let me confess .... no i am not humane enough to be a human ......( confession date : SEPTEMBER 23 ,confession time : AT THIS UN EARTHLY HOUR 1:55 AM)

well how many of you reading this blog have felt that jolt in the stomach when u saw a begger who is physically disabled on the street struggling for his daily bread ?? to be honest i might have felt pity many a times but not as much as i felt today when i saw an OLD MAN struggling for his existence on this planet.
It was a hot sunny afternoon when i was in the car with some of my friends , we were struggling to make our way out in the hyderabadi traffic in hot sun ,stopping at traffic junctions ,cursing the heat, cursing the traffic ,cursing the autowalas who were performing super duper stunts with their Hummer's ( hyderabadi autos ) . We noticed many beggers as usual at many traffic junctions but i never cared for them but at patny junction i couldnt stop my self from looking at an Old man ( no no dont think " an old man who was begging" ) who was struggling to earn his bread for that day.
Let me describe him , he was aged 60+, clothing just enough to cover himself ( shabby and rugged) and he didnt have one arm.
He was trying to sell one of those johnson and johnson ear buds packet to everyone stopping at the traffic and no body was even caring to listen to his plight. People were ready to shell out change to small kids aged 15-20 and women carrying their babies in their arms( who were physically 100 % fit + fine yet begging ), but no one even cared for this old man who is almost in the last quarter of his life , physically challenged yet struggling to make his life out of his own hardwork !!!
Then i thought i should reach out for him and perhaps help him out (may be buy him a meal for that day ,which not only fills his stomach but fills his heart , ) but somehow i couldnt dare to do that in front of my friends who were " jaane do yaaar !!! uska kismat tu kaise badal saktha hai "??, then i thought shaayad uska kismat badal nahi sakte par uska din tho badal sakte hai na ??? (buying him a meal and talking to him for probably just 10 minutes would have comforted him with a feeling that there is somebody to take care of him atleast for a day ))i thought for a while , wanted to get down and atleast give him some money which could buy him a meal... but no i didnt do it .... my ego stopped me from doing that while i was with my friends ......
and thats the reason why i think i dont know the meaning of compassion and humanity .......

just think of this guys ..... dont encourage children (aged 10-20 ) who are turning beggars on the roads ... encourage ppl like these who are trying to EARN their living by doing something.
and dont encourage women who carry babies in their arms ....... they are physically fit and fine !!!! when an old man who was almost in the last quarter of life could earn his living why cant these so called beggars do this ????
Its not just the duty of govt or duty of MCH to eliminate beggars in Indian cities ....
if we stop encouraging beggars they would surely look our for their own way of living .....

Well these are my thoughts,i felt like sharing ..........
comments and counterviews accepted ....

Popular English ... oops fashionable english .... Hyderabadi English

Hi friends .. Blogging after a long time !!

bserved a few things ... felt like sharing them !!

Here are some rules on how to communicate in Hyderabad:

  • If you want to clarify a thought, state it and then ask "No?". eg: "Today is Monday. No?".
  • If you want to present a thought, state it and then add "only". eg: "Today is Monday only".
  • If you want to agree to an idea, say "it is like that only".
  • If you want to agree hesitantly to an idea, it follows from previous rules that you say "it is like that only, no?".
  • If you know one thing and you think there are additional things, say "and all". Eg. "This US and all are in Iraq"; implies US, UK and their coalition are fighting in Iraq. You can say "and all" to fill in the gaps too.
  • If you want to talk about things that are not known to the audience, prefix each sentence with "actually", "basically" or "generally". For example, "My name is Babu. I am from Kerala. I go there every weekend." translates to "Actually my name is Babu. Basically I am from Kerala only. Generally I go there every weekend."

My First Interview

Hello Friends m back again for some blogging. Now that i have attended 5 interviews i think i should share my experiences ( both sweet and bitter moments ).Well the first of all my interviews -- "CARITOR"i was walking down the corridors of csit dept when i heard one of my friend call my name and told me " hey surya it seems we have an interview ! finally !! even BVRIT has interviews ?? @#$%@$$####$#$# i was puzzled. It was nice to hear that and at the same time difficult to believe becuase we were deceived many times before this news that we were about to have Satyam Computer services visit our campus !! Well Well Well it was an off campus interview and we were not at all serious !! so we didnt have even the slightest of intentions to prepare for the test .. finally the day dawned and we all dressed up in our formal attires and i along with Kiran, sujeet, santosh vinayak rao and anand avs started in kirans car to the venue.... it was a pleasant journey.Upon reaching Vasavi COllege of Engineering we were simply stunned ! startled and amazed to see such a huge crowd.... Even before we entered the gates of vasavi we witnessed the hardships of "job search".The last time i saw such a huge crowd was perhaps in " Tirupati !!! " or in a "JOb fair" . " maamu itna log mein humhe kya milega re !" lets go back was the general talk in the air ..........GCRD2424 was my registeration number and we had to wait for a long time before they called us for the first round .... The paper was for 50 marks out of which 30 were from general aptitude and 20 were from C/C++ but i got a paper which had C .It was difficult but i was satisfied by my performance and at the same time afraid of the crowds and was almost 75% sure that i wont get selected in first round ... we were waiting outside for the results and an old man came out and told that the results wud b put up at 10'o clock the same day on the net and the news was a momentary relief for our tension and we went to Golkonda the very same day and had loads and loads of fun ... especially the guide we had was exaggerating every single rock in golconda and we enjoyed every moment of it.........Reached home and i didnt have a faintest idea of what happened in the morning ....... i was almost asleep after having my dinner when sujeet called up to congratulate me for clearing the first round ..The next day GVN santosh ( CSE ) and i started for Vasavi again on his PULSAR ( :D ) . My slot was at 2:30 and i had to wait for a long long long long time and as it was drizzling i enjoyed the rain a lot :D ." sai surya kiran " called the lady and i rushed to the room . Hello my name is sophia and i am the HR executive of Caritor and i am ur moderator for ur GD . pls introduce urselves including ur family background,ur hobbies and ur schooling....was what she spoke (and we all did so) .we were a batch of 15 ppl of which there was only a single girl( she had an advantage though ) .Our topic was " Make Hay while the sunshines " pretty easy one rite ? well i managed to speak well and i got thru the round ... no big surprise for me ...Now came the moment to panic.. THE TECHNICAL ROUND ....it was lunch time and i along with archana reddy and lalitha went to the marvellous canteen of vasavi and had some food while archana was teaching us some stuff from DBMS. after having lunch we had to wait in a common room until our names were called ..."A very huge man was waiting out there as if he was ready to feed on us " was the first impression i got on seeing him.but to my surprise he was completely contrast to my ideas. It was usual introduction again and he asked me to write a program to calculate the gcd of two numbers which i did in a jiffy and he was impressed. I had to juggle around a lot to make myself heard to him by stealing others questions and i tried to overact .. :P :D .Well after the interview we had to wait in the seminar hall for the lady to comeup and ask us to write an essay on " MY career Aspiration " which i did very very well. Hmm after that round all our essays were collected and they made us wait for a very looooooong time and we had to obey their orders. it was 7 in the evening and no response . Now it was 8 no response .9:30 no response and 10 here they come . The final 31 students shortlisted out of which 6 ppl were non-it and 25 were IT (ECE,CSE and IT) . Hurray i made it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but it was 11 by the time they finished their talk and doubts session. i took the help of one of my wud b colleague and reached mehdipatnam easily and the rest of the journey was tedious to my house ........well this is what i have to say about my first interview... a successful one .to be contd......

wELL WE ALL USE PHONES RITE ?? HAVE U EVER cared TO WISH THE CREATOR OF THIS GIZMO HAPPY BIRTHDAY ?? IF NOT THEN DO IT NOW SAY ALOUD " HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr.BELL " HERE ARE SOME FAST FACTS ABOUT Mr.BELL
Born and educated in Scotland, Alexander Graham Bell was the son of Alexander Melville Bell, inventor of visible speech, an alphabet that used symbols to represent human sounds. The Bell family emigrated to Canada in 1870, and in 1871 young Alexander moved to Boston, Massachusetts as a teacher to the deaf. He worked on ways to translate the human voice into vibrations, and came up with the idea for the telephone. In 1875 Bell began working with Thomas Watson, a mechanically-inclined electrician; by 1876 Bell had uttered the first intelligible sentence over the phone: "Mr. Watson, come here, I want you." Later in his career Bell worked on a variety of inventions, including flying machines and hydrofoils.
Bell experimented with electrically reproducing sounds, first by using rapidly varying currents to turn electromagnets on and off. The magnets vibrated metal reeds tuned to match each current's frequency. When Bell replaced the metal reeds with a metal membrane, his device could transmit speech through wires. He named his device the telephone. Bell also invented the photophone, the first device to transmit messages by light, as well as metal detectors and new kinds of kites. In 1880 Bell helped found the magazine Science.

I cant understand this

I have no words to explain what i want to write ! This is something mind-blowing ! so i will keep this post as short as possible it is upto u to think over it ! if possible write comments on this and lemme know the impact of this on humans.Pls lemme know because i have absolutely no idea ! On saturday Feb 25 at 7:16 p.m Eastern Standard Time, the population of earth has hit 6.5 billion people out of which The population of India is estimated to be about 1.1 billion which makes India the second most populous country in the world after China. Which means that the population of the rest of the world is just 5.4 billions which includes about 200 other countries. If India doesnt keep a check on this growth then there would soon be a time when population of India would be grater than poulation of ( world - India ) . Another mind blowing fact is that approximate growth of population in India this year is greater than the total population of Australia!!!!!

FLU-BLUE

Party Time !!! We all planned for a party at a local restaurant and as usual gathered at A's house ............ As usual went to the restaurant with enthu in a jovial mood.....Order please ~~ sounded the waiter...... Then something unusual happened.... we all were in a shock, utter amazement, dumb struck..... " Mr A ordered Vegetarian !!!!" How on earth can this be possible ??? he who doesnt drink vegetarian water , orders Veg Biryani ??" Wow something wrong with the Cosmos !!! , With the same amazement we asked him the reason for this unusual feat ! ,with a shy smile he replied " scared of Bird Flu yaaar " .Then i thanked god for this Flu thing...........and asked A more about it..... . Even down a small walk he who prefers chicken in everything steps down for the fear of Flu....Well In my view this is good that is happening to him and "humanity"....... well its a very heavy word but i cant stop myself from using it.Fear of high fat content..,Fear of sin for killing animals...devotional lectures etc etc etc could not stop him from eating non-vegetarian but this small thing called flu ( dangerous though in other places could change him....Then i started wondering ..... if this was the plan of Blue cross people some time ago then mass massacre of chicken and other animals in the name of delicious food would have not taken place .The Blue cross people who are responsible for care of animals should have made a plan of threatening non-vegetarians in the name of "Dangerous Diseases" instead of slogans,T-shirts,or what ever...... which proved futile.I do accept that a whole industry called brooderies would comedown and a lot of money would be lost but at least we would be entitled to be called as human beings rite ?? with some moral thinking and care for fellow living entities

copper.... uh whats that ??

THE COPPERMINE : Well Friends, this post is a junkie and i felt like writing about this because of my musings when i was forwarding a mail to one of my friend whose id is coppermine3k.Well the post, musings and the title do not have any connection so forgive me.The first thought that came to my mind on writing coppermine3k was not coppermine but, somewhere on my grey cells lay a teeny tiny name resembling copper.. oh yes i got it,copernicus!!! ... The man who conceived that earth revolves round the sun.....Prior to this people believed in all soughts of junk stuff like flat earth ....etc etc Now its time to remember him and his heliocentric theory.... Just try to imagine the concept of geocentric theory before u think of heliocentric concept, sooooo weird rite? Copernicus was a scholarly church canon who succeeded in convincing almost all later astronomers that Earth rotates on an axis and revolves about the Sun. Aristarchus, an early Greek, had proposed similar ideas, but few accepted them. The ideas expressed by Copernicus were not exactly what we believe today -- for example, Copernicus used circles moving on circles to make his system work. Elliptical orbits were not recognized as possible until a century later. Now try to imagine ... how it would be if sun revolved round the earth....the day and night time would reduce .... we would have multiple days in one day because of the light we get from other planets... and where does moon revolve ?? around earth ? sun ??then we would see sun for moon during nights !! hilarious isnt it ??anyways thanks to copernicus and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him ( yes he was born 19 feb 1473 )

LOVE VIRUS

Why do many people continuously get trapped in the vicious circle of relationships based on infatuation? It is simple: they do not love themselves, and therefore they are willing to forfeit their individuality, including their wants and needs, just to have somebody in their life. The degree to which you love yourself is the degree to which you will be able to extend love to others, and inevitably to find the one for you. Do you extend as much kindness to yourself, as you do to others? Do you love yourself? Take a few moments. Ponder these questions carefully and soulfully. Look at the second question again. Are you guilty of giving up time with friends and family - or, perhaps more importantly, giving up the pursuit of your dreams -- for the sake of another? If this is you, don't panic or feel bad: you are not alone. Millions of people are in this vicious circle. The good news is that you can change, reverse this pattern, and move from a vicious circle into a loving circle. Don't know where to begin? Let me provide the "Circle of Love" road map, so you can recognize the road signs on your path to love. It all starts with you. You are the center of your "Circle of Love". Finding the right person with whom to share your life is not the first focus of loving. The primary focus is how you live your daily life: it's developing your capacity for loving yourself, so that you may better love those around you. It all centers on you. On a daily basis, increase the love you give to yourself. Be kind and loving to you. Start doing things for you. This is not being selfish: this is an act of self-love. You will be amazed how your new attitude towards giving and receiving love returns to you. Love extended to others in a healthy way is like the knowledge that a teacher shares with his or her students. At the end of the class, the teacher retains the knowledge and the students have gained the knowledge. Love is like the teacher's knowledge in that it should be shared, not given away at one's own expense. The more you share love, the more love you will gain. There is a world of difference between the person who possesses self-love and the person who does not. The former is truly giving in sharing love with others, whereas the latter is not. It all starts with loving yourself: this will allow you to give a more enriched love to others. Once you reach this point, your Circle of Love will expand. Within an expanded Circle of Love, you will be able to extend, attract, and recognize committed love. Once you have the committed love you seek, you can rise to new levels of love in your life. Love's Journey is an endless road, and your Loves' Circle just keeps getting bigger

SUCCESS TRAP

Success Trap !!
Yes ! Now is the time to save her ! She's been trapped in the brutal hands of the Demon .We being her sons have the responsibility to save her !Come on folks dont you hear her shout "SOS" ! Open up your eyes ! look out how she is being plundered brutally in the cruel clutches of the monster !!!
Now folks ask me something about the monster and who is trapped !Well for those of you who guessed it right , this is no big surprisebut for those who couldnt imagine what i was talking about ! gear up to get the biggest surprise of your life ! she is none other than mother India and the demon is SUCCESS !!Yes success in a big demon in disguise of an angel to India ! how can success be a trap ?? Well Well Well !These days The feel good factor amongst the Indian citizens is rampant and yes they have been trapped ! not just trapped but trapped brutally !India is on spree of modernization, Hi-Tech cities popping up where ever possible,Hi-on feel shopping malls , night life goodies etc etc etc ! are the signs of Success for India !But friends have you ever guessed how is all this possible in a very short span of time ( 5-10)years ?? if u say no , brood over and you will get to the crux of the answer !The answer in my views is as follows :: The West has become so very saturated with "work" that the employees over there are demanding mountains to remove even a blade of grass and the biggies are in a fix about how to solve the pending work ( whether it is software work ( i say programmers are highly paid industrial labourers ) or agricultural work ) and they have found a donkey to do all their work cheaply ! Their strategy is to make us do all their work which doesnt require much of technicality and they depend on quality students from quality schools and quality organisations for their work which requires talent. Now what do i say by quoting " doesnt require much of technicality " take for instance " CALL CENTERS "The so called revolution in major cities of India ! Is this really doing us good ? Not really ! It is trading fast money for a lot of amateur potential talent !!! Most of the students are getting carried away with the money that these callcenters are offering demanding absolutely no technical knowledge at all .They are luring the students of class 12 to stop their further studies and join the call centers as it would help them in getting a huge amount with incentives like " learn while you earn " yes you have read it correctly it is learn while you earn ! not earn while you learn !!! This is the pathetic situation that India is in under the success trap !As a result most of the students are not opting for valuable technical education but are seeking non-technical education and are depriving India of talented Pool of students who can shape its Destiny to a very wonderful place to live in ! This is called " STOCKHOLM SYNDROME " , a phenomenon in which a hostage begins to identify with and grow sympathetic to his or her captor, Yes students we are captors of the west ! so it is high time that we realised and stopped students who end their education abruptly for earning fast money ! If India wants to see people like AbdulKalam,Sreenidhi Varadarajan,RajReddy !!! It should stop students from stopping their higher studies or restricting their studies to non-techncal education for the sake of Money !! Yes it is improving the Employment rate drastically but this is a temporary phenomenon .The solution is not to stop the organisations from luring us but to keep a check on ourselves and our greed !
